  7. DECadvantage ╤ TCP for DECadvantage provides complete, industry-standard TCP/IP
  8. protocols, implemented according to U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) standards
  9. for communication with other UNIX systems, PCs, and other systems. It provides
  10. TLI and Socket interfaces for application programs. The NetBIOS component for
  11. support of communication with PCs is implemented in STREAMS and accessible
  12. using TLI, according to RFC1001/1002. TCP for DECadvantage runs over an
  13. Ethernet using the Ethernet V2.0 frame format, includes virtual terminal
  14. service (TELNET), file transfer (FTP, SFTP, and TFTP) and electronic mail
  15. (SMTP). A companion product for MS-DOS-based PC clients is also available ("TCP
  16. for DOS") from Digital. When OSI and TCP/IP are used in the same system, TCP
  17. for DECadvantage can run with the product OSI TP4 for DECadvantage.
